The bad I do not want to do, I do

Scripture references: Psalm 119 vs. 1 – 8
Genesis 3 vs. 4 – 12
Romans 7 vs. 14- 22
1 Corinthians 3 vs. 16 – 21

There are those times when we need to look into the mirror of our lives and ponder if our physical beings speak anything of our spiritual standing?

From the way we dress, eat, speak, walk, and interact.

Each time I am confronted by the reality that half the time my physical being does not correspond with the desires of the spiritual. However, I am glad that I do take time to make a reflection, because through this, I can work on making me a better somebody.

Each moment we have in life is a potential to make us better or worse people. What do we do with our moments? I have decided to make each day a day for growth. We do take our small actions for granted but once we make these small excuses, we might get used to them and forget that its wrong.

The thoughts of Paul do have a powerful strike. It is one chapter when Paul looks into the spiritual mirror and sees the inadequacies presented by the physical well-being.

It was a point that he saw the reflections of his life in comparison with the Spiritual well-being. What he believed in and what he was striving to achieve in his life. In as much as he was proclaiming the omnipotence and greatness of god, he still had to look at himself to see if what he was speaking was what he was living by.

I now realise what he was talking about. I now understand were he was coming from.

Even Christians of today need to do that. It is only after an evaluation that we are able to grow, both spiritually and physically. To serve in our ministry, we need to be good moral leaders wherever we are. One does not have to be a pastor or a collared somebody to be faithful to the gospel of Christ. We have got to tae responsibility of our physical beings in order to be able to stand firm and courageous in the face of rising tempest.

So many people fear positions of responsibility, being aware of their weaknesses, but few of us take the initiative of correcting that weakness. We need to go before God and seek for renewal, cleansing and forgiveness. He is faithful enough that he will forgive us of our sins.

Rise up, take responsibility and strive to live a life worth emulating, that way, it becomes a lot easier to serve with courage, and conviction.
