LIVING A GODLY LIFE

Another extract... Be blessed
Good evening phenomenal women. What a privilege and honour to be able to break bread with you
yet again. What grace! The word tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and
all else will be added unto us.

Tonight I just want to challenge a phenomenal woman to look into her own life, ask the Holy Spirit to
help you evaluate your life. Let us seek Godly ways in all we do.

That you are alive today and now should be reason
enough to praise the Lord. It doesn’t mean
you do not have problems, challenges or pressing
issues. It doesn’t mean you don’t have
seemingly unanswered prayers. Actually that’s the
bulk of prayers. Neither does it mean your life
is perfect. Our problem as humanity is our quest for
excellence, but we forget that God makes
everything good in the fullness of time.

I rejoice not that you label yourself, dress like a
pastor, speak like a pastor, but that your heart be on
whom you say it belongs. Today allow me to share
on the subject of repentance. It is usually a lot easier to carry the title and miss the function. It’s a lot
easier to carry the label and not the content.

2 Corinthians 7:9-10, “Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance:
for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For Godly
sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.”

Isn’t it sad that you meet a woman with bangles identifying them with a church yet treats you like you
do not qualify for heaven? Let us not just say “Lord, Lord” with our mouth yet our hearts be far off. Let’s
not seek a form of Godliness yet deny the power.

What this then shows us is that unless one has an encounter with God, one cannot come to true
repentance. You can read the bible, go to church or sing hymns beautifully but if you have not come to
the knowledge of who God is you haven’t really repented.

Responding to emotions is not true repentance, feeling sorry for oneself is not repenting but surrendering
our will to God as our creator defines repentance.

There are many teachings that have been made, sermons that have made  us sob in sorrow, prophecies
that have made us excited and declarations that have made us expectant, but unless and until God
becomes real in our lives all these are in vain, those tears will become crocodile tears and that
excitement remains just that  excitement.

We need the word of God to convict us unto repentance to embrace the word of God as his long love letter
to us. To show us where we have erred and lovingly show us how to direct these mistakes. One must
get to a point of realising that there is a better place for them to be. The worldly pattern and the
heavenly pattern never correspond there are so different that one cannot claim to live in both, you
either on one or the other, never both.

The word is very clear. Let’s bite into it a bit... Galatians 5:19, “Now the works of the flesh are manifest,
which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred,
variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and
such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such
things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Galatians 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness,
faith,  meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Jesus must become as real as your cellphone, it becomes difficult to give up your will into his will. I
love you all. May God teach us his ways. He said if we abide in him and he in us, we will bear much
fruit. God bless you all,
